My personal hoop designs are most often inspired by nature and my own experiences dancing on the floor of the earth and through life. This particular hoop was part of a collection I made last year. It was inspired by the golden yellow, burnt orange, and fire red leaves dropping in a dance with the setting sun onto an arctic forest floor of granite and moss. In this time between the solstices, marked by the autumnal equinox, nature moves toward winter and we turn inward as the days grow darker, shorter, and colder. The dance that inspired this hoop was such; a soulful bowing to the brilliance of change in the wild and as my own life closed one chapter and began another in a balance of outer expression and inner contemplation.
